She made this comment on the WILLAMETTE WEEK article on LANE JENSEN. "Fetsch tells WW the agency has had no direct involvement in the case." But the following event was also reported by in the same article: " TriMet has also barred him from speaking to anyone at the agency except a designated contact person and from attending any TriMet board meeting where Altstadt is present. (Jensen often testifies—loudly—at the board meetings.)" Kinda hard for trimet to have 'no direct involvement with the case' and get him banned from board meetings and talking to trimet personnel. Oh Mary, you are so predictable in your stupidity.

ARE BLOGGERS JOURNALISTS?

Of course the tyrants of Trimet don't consider Lane Jensen a journalist, even though he has   broken more than one story on the subject of Trimet. Lane Jensen is like me, a relentless critic of Trimet policies, procedures, and executive class. Trimet doesn't recognize anybody that doesn't believe in the Cult of Trimet as a 'journalist'. In my personal case I offer the most comprehensive coverage of Trimet available on the internet. You find on my blog stories from the mainstream media, other Trimet bloggers, and my very own take on issues affecting Trimet. My blog is also the only place on line that carries the policy makers of Trimet, the Trimet board of directors. For Trimet to say I am not a 'journalist' is an absurd hypocrisy. I am critical of their operations mainly because every other 'media' just constantly spits back whatever Trimet prints. The article below discusses the issues of "news" vs bloggers.

A Visit From the TriMet Squad: Blogger Arrested After Repeatedly Texting Spokeswoman  Lane Jensen recognized the cops who came for him. 

The 26-year-old blogger had tangled before with officers of local police departments who work for TriMet, the transit agency Jensen regularly investigates, exposes and harangues on his blog, Portland Transit Lane.

In the past, Jensen had recorded arguments with transit police and posted them to his website. But his dealings with them had always been peaceable until Oct. 17, when four officers walked into his place of work, shoved him up against a pole, handcuffed him and took away his cellphone.

EX TRIMET EXECUTIVE PEGGY HANSEN SPEAKS UP FOR LANE

During my 15 years at Trimet I met some remarkable people. There were two executives that were working at Trimet while I did and I admire both of them. My favorite was Peggy Hansen, and my second was Steve Banta. Funny how fast Trimet plunged straight down the hill when they both departed. Peggy has come out to express support for Lane, it's typical Peggy, she was never afraid to speak her mind .

A two-car train of Siemens S70 light rail cars on the MAX system, operated by TriMet, the transit agency serving the Portland metropolitan area. 

A blogger who persisted in asking questions that the development agency doesn't like has been arrested by TriMet transit cops and had his laptop and cell phone confiscated. His "crime"? Demanding answers from the agency in the days following the shooting death of a boy at a light rail platform. TriMet PR chicks refused to respond to his questions regarding transit safety, and so he programmed his SMS to text one of them repeatedly. Apparently, as far as the TriMet development agency is concerned, that's a crime meriting physical detention and confiscation of the blogger's electronics. It's bogus on many fronts: no threats were made; a question was texted repeatedly (and automatically). Was the blogger being a jerk? Possibly, but that's not a crime. TriMet's head mouthpiece, Mary Fetsch, falls back upon a claim often deployed by Democratics who don't want to answer questions: "A blogger is not a "real" journalist." Sorry, Mary, but that's not your call. These folks think that they can dictate every aspect of everybody's lives, and it's time to take them down a few notches. Personally, I advocate cutting them off at the ankles. They really stepped in it this time.

That another thing Lane has been useful in helping us all to remember - these people are "Officials" of a supposed "Public Service". ORS 267 tacitly allows TriMet to act as a private transportation company that has no direct accountability to, or transparency for the people of this community. None of its Board of Directors or top officers are elected, or in any other way held to account except through the media, and particularly alternative press like Rantings, Portland Afoot, and Portland Transit Lane. If TriMet is also allowed to define who is a journalist, then they control their propaganda in the corporate media. In regards to this comment by Mary Festch:  TriMet spokeswoman Mary Fetsch says her agency doesn’t consider Jensen to be a journalist.

Lane has never sent one threatening voice message, text message, or email to any Trimet manager ever and the fact that Trimet is attempting to paint Lane as some sort of threat  here proves the set up.They are so low to use this nonsense to prohibit him from attending board meetings.  He's out watch-dogging these people and asking questions. I hope this goes to trial so we can get some of these 'scared' characters up on the witness stand. Trimet executives will crawl around in the mud like a snake if they can get their way. They are doing this to their union employees and now they are slithering to new lows with Lane Jensen.

Neil Mcfarlane who illegally seized $6 million in  wages from  his union employees and has ignored two court orders to return it while using tax funds to fight the legal order of the court. Neil Mcfarlane who raided the Trimet treasury for himself and his cronies at the exact same time he raised fares  and cut service to the riders of the Portland Area and decided he didn't need to tell anyone other than his secret complicit board?

It has come down from the 'halls of justice' (lol) that Lane is now barred from attending Trimet board meetings. Apparently 'they' have been able to convince the court that he is a extremely dangerous predator.  Below is a copy of the 'dangerous and threatening' text that has apparently triggered the criminal investigation.

Rational minds understand that Lane has been targeted for total and complete annihilation. Trimet sees they can take advantage of this situation and get rid of Lane once and for all. Is it ethical? Of course not. Is it surprising? Nope, completely predictable given my understanding of Trimet. Was Lane stupid for getting himself into this situation? Yes. Oregon has this  law called telephone harassment that has made the text sent above to be turned into a criminal case. The law is written so badly you could drive a truck into it. Gotta love Oregon with its assortment of backwards laws.  In all honesty, I'd love to see this go to trial.  Going to the board meetings is of little real value anyway Lane. I shall miss the excitement and drama that you brought to those meetings.

It turns out that Lane Jensen has to submit to random drug testing and random searches! He has not even been convicted of a crime yet they treat him like a hard core convict. What kind of country are we living in today? This is pathetic. The problem is that once you are ensnared into the (in)justice system you have no rights nor do they care about your rights. Just remember what this country is all about these days, its not your freedom. As David Icke says "LAND OF THE FEE AND HOME OF THE SLAVE"

Lane Jensen apologized to Trimet executives

Reported by PATRICK STANLEY Lane Jensen has been silent for a few days after his arrest (and subsequent release) for telephone harassment. Now, first being released here at Transit Rider PDX, Lane has issued a statement in response: To Whom it May Concern:

I need to issue an apology for my recent actions. Texting those managers was not the right thing to do. I was trying to get answers about safety on the buses and I took it too far. I will be taking a break from blogging until my trial is complete. 

Again, I apologize for my actions. I can assure you that I won't go that far again.
